Dotdash Meredith / The Foundry Branding Video

The Ask:

As Meredith Inc. became DotDash Meredith, they looked to create a promotional video that would help clients understand their capabilities of their in-house creative agency, The Foundry, across multiple platforms and within their stable of iconic brands (such as InStyle, Shape, People, Sports Illustrated).

They wanted a video that would tell a story and help viewers to understand the seamless way that DotDash Meredith content was incorporated into everyday life.

The Strategy:

The concept I pitched revolved around the different days for various people, how they engage with the content across all of its capabilities to make their lives easier and happier, no matter their lifestyle, goals, or interests. In following the two stories, the loop is closed when we see the connection between two of the women we have been following.

The concept I wrote was accepted, and working with the director was a seamless collaboration as we storyboarded and scripted the short film.

The Vibes:

This narrative, longer-form video was meant to serve almost as an instructional piece that helped potential clients see the capabilities of the combined companies in a new light, and envision ways that they could utilize the brands to reach their own audiences.

The Result:

This video became a critical tool for sales and marketing as they pitched and won business after the merger.
